BlackStar Film Festival is an annual celebration of the visual and storytelling traditions of the African diaspora and of global Indigenous communities, showcasing films by Black, Brown and Indigenous artists from around the world. Blackstar tapped me to design the set of their nightly talk show "The Daily Jawn" - the set was enjoyed by both an in-person and virtual audience.

Event Production, Activation Design

For arts organization Monument Lab, I produced their inaugural Fall Gathering where over 150+ people from across the nation met at Philadelphia's Sculpture Courtyard to celebrate public arts. To ensure a wonderful evening - I coordinated all event logistics, including vendor curation and management, the fabrication of an info-based art installation, layout design, and entertainment.

Digital Strategy, Event Production

After leading community-centered digital strategy for Breakout, I was brought on to co-produce their 3-day flagship event. · During 10+ trips to Newark, I connected directly with changemakers and grassroots organizations in the city of Newark, NJ to highlight exceptional changemakers. This resulted in a 3-day long event featuring over 20 activations across 15 different locations. I managed all programming for the weekend.

Creative Production

A product of shelter-in-place, Draw To Action began as a hopeful outlet for thousands of Philadelphians but grew to something more after June of 2020. I worked with Rory Creative to curate and manage over 30 artists and 15 partner organizations.The sales of the coloring books raised over $20k for grassroots organizations throughout the Philadelphia region.

Content Strategy, Creative Production & Direction

At the start of the year, 12th Street Catering reached out to create a content strategy focused on the community they've built. We worked together to create a refreshed brand image on social - for this I creative directed and produced a photoshoot to update their current content. I also led them through a strategy session and provided them with new social and email templates.

Activation Production, Influencer Marketing Curation

When national travel guide creators, Wildsam released their long-awaited Philadelphia guide - they reached out to figure out how to best connect to Philadelphia's vibrant creative community. Together we created an activation at the illustrious Harriett's Bookshop featuring best-selling author Feminista Jones. In addition, we curated a list of select community members to share their experience with Philadelphia online.

Artist Activation Production

To encourage community members to register to vote, the Working Families Party hosted a massive concert at the Mann Center for over 10,000 people. There I curated, produced, and managed 4 artist-based activations: a live painting section, a video interview section, and 2 photobooths. I also coordinated the fabrication of wooden stands for a custom art mural.

Founder, Event Production

After seeing a gap in holiday markets - I ideated, created, and curated CADO: An all Black Art Fair and Makers Market. On December 12th at The Deacon, over 20 artists and small makers and 200+ attendees came together to celebrate Black creativity and raise over $1000 for charities through ticket sales.

Creator, Creative Production & Direction

After spending a year working in the wedding industry - I began to realize that most styled shoots looked fairly homogenous. It was then I began to ideate a wedding shoot that featured a dozen unique wedding vendors that touted atypical looks, styles, and models to bust out of what I call "the Blush bubble". Since then the photos have been featured in Philadelphia Magazine, Traveller, and more.
